I know I cannot be the only girl out there who is completely intrigued by the brand Milk. To make matters worse, I own ZERO Milk products. Zero!
I know, it’s shameful. Every time I get close to ordering my very first product something catches my eye and then guilt sets in that I spend way too much freaking money on makeup so I put the Milk product out of my cart (on the Sephora app). Then I instantly regret not getting the Milk product and vow that in my next purchase I WILL get a Milk product. And then I don’t. It’s a vicious cycle, to be honest. I’m not sure why that Milk product never makes the final cut.

want need so many products, it’s hard to choose and unfortunately, most likely due to a lack of loyalty cause I’ve never tried the freaking brand (and probably never will if that’s my mindset). This needs to stop. I can’t keep hurting myself like this- I MUST GET A MILK PRODUCT TO END MY MISERY! And now I’m smiling… 😀
Enough ranting, onto what we came here for. I am so intrigued by this brand! (I know I already said that.) I especially have been itching to get my hands on two products: the Milk Cooling Water and the Holographic Stick. Don’t those both just sound amazing?!
Well, Milk is coming out with a new product for me to obsess over: the Blur Stick.
We may not be able to get our hands on this yet. But we can dream.
A favorite Youtuber for me, Kathleen Lights, has a first impressions video up and I was so excited when I saw it. Let’s watch:
So, I thought this was a foundation. And the description on the Milk website wasn’t super clear. What do you think?
The universal face filter. Silicone-free Blur Stick minimizes the appearance of pores and fine lines to create a smooth, matte finish. Invisible matte coverage blurs pores and fine lines on every skin tone. Swipe for a smooth finish and makeup that doesn’t budge. Silicone-Free & Oil-Free formula won’t clog pores so skin can breathe. This product is vegan. All Milk Makeup products are cruelty-free.
Side note, I’m looking at the Milk website and it says coming soon (as of 1/6/17). But Kathleen mentions it is available on the Milk website. I’m not sure why we’re seeing different things, but I’ll be sure to keep an eye on it.
UPDATE: I just found an article on Bustle showing that there was a presale (why didn’t know about this!?) on 1/3/17 until midnight. But have no fear ladies (and gents), the product will be released on 1/9/17 on the Milk website. I’m not sure if that means Sephora will have it on the 9th too.
Back to the review. So Kathleen says she’s read from online reviews that this product could be useful on those days you don’t want to wear makeup but you want your skin to still look perfected. I love products like that for the days I’m just running to the grocery store really quick so there’s no need to apply a full face of makeup.
I love that Kathleen (Are we on a first name basis? I watch her so much I feel like I know her! She’s so down to Earth, I don’t think she’ll mind) left one-half of her face without the product so we can really see the results.
She says it feels very matte (I have SUPER dry skin, so I don’t know if that’s gonna work for me) and almost like nothing is coming off. But running her fingers over her face she says it feels silky. Hmmm, interesting.
She does say her pores look filled in. Which is good, since that’s what it’s supposed to do. When she zoomed in pretty close around the 5:14 mark I do definitely see a difference in the look of her pores. Looks promising!
WAIT! (I should mention I am writing this as I watch the video for the first time.) Didn’t she say she was going to leave one side of her face without product? Well, that just goes to show Youtubers are real people who make mistakes, just like us… 😀
I definitely do not like that tugging on the skin thing. In fact, I’m pretty sure that’s not-so-good for the skin, ya know?
Moral of Kathleen’s story: Don’t over apply! And maybe skip the nose, but who knows if that was because she used too much.
After watching this I’m definitely intrigued, but I am still jumping for the Cooling Water and Holographic Stick before this just based off my skin type (dry). What do you think? Are you into it? Will you be ready on 9th hitting refresh to get your Blur Stick? If you tried it let me know what you thought! I’m interested in seeing how different skin types find this product.
Thanks for joining me in watching another beauty review. Talk to you soon.
